आपरेशन मेघदूत (Operation Meghdoot) में लापता हुए लांसनायक चंद्रशेखर हर्बोला (Chandrashekhar Herbola) का पार्थिव शरीर लेह में मौसम अनुकूल न होने के कारण आज नहीं आ सकेगा। पार्थिव शरीर अब बुधवार यानी कल लाया जाएगा। सिटी मजिस्ट्रेट ऋचा सिंह ने बताया कि सीएम पुष्कर सिंह धामी का हल्द्वानी आने का कार्यक्रम भी रद हो गया है।
मूलरूप से हाथीपुर बिंता द्वारहाट अल्मोड़ा व हाल सरस्वती विहार धानमिल हल्द्वानी निवासी चंद्रशेखर हर्बोला 1971 में 19 कुमाऊं रेजीमेंट (19 Kumaon Regiment) में बतौर सिपाही भर्ती हुए थे। वर्ष 1984 में सियाचिन में भारतीय सेना के आपरेशन मेघदूत के दौरान लापता हो गए थे।
बलिदानी चंद्रशेखर हर्बोला के बैच संख्या 5164584 का 38 साल बाद पार्थिव शरीर बर्फ के नीचे बरामद हुआ है। सैन्य अधिकारियों ने स्वजनों को काल कर बैच व दस्तावेजों का मिलान कर चंद्रशेखर के पार्थिव की तस्दीक की थी।
शहीद चंद्रशेखर हरबोला का ये है परिवार
शहीद चंद्रशेखर हरबोला (Martyr Chandrashekhar Harbola) आज जीवित होते तो 66 वर्ष के होते। उनके परिवार में उनकी 64 वर्षीय पत्नी शांता देवी, दो बेटियां कविता, बबीता और उनके बच्चे यानी नाती-पोते 28 वर्षीय युवा के रूप में अंतिम दर्शन करेंगे। पत्नी शांता देवी उनके शहीद होने से पहले से नौकरी में थी, जबकि उस समय बेटियां काफी छोटी थीं।
क्या था ऑपरेशन मेघदूत
जम्मू कश्मीर में सियाचिन ग्लेशियर पर कब्जे के लिए भारतीय सेना जो ऑपरेशन चलाया उसे महाकवि कालीदास की रचना के नाम पर कोड नेम ऑपरेशन मेघदूत दिया। यह ऑपरेशन 13 अप्रैल 1984 को शुरू किया गया।
यह अनोखा सैन्य अभियान था क्योंकि दुनिया की सबसे ऊंचाई पर स्थित युद्धक्षेत्र में पहली बार हमला हुआ था। सेना की कार्रवाई के परिणामस्वरूप भारतीय सेना ने पूरे सियाचिन ग्लेशियर पर नियंत्रण प्राप्त कर लिया था। इस पूरे ऑपरेशन में 35 अधिकारी और 887 जेसीओ-ओआरएस ने अपनी जान गंवा दी थी।
